Eligibility Criteria

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has updated NEET-2019 Eligibility Criteria.

  1. The candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology.
  2. For SC, ST and OBC Candidate: The marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology taken in qualifying examination and competitive examination (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology) be 40% marks instead of 50% for General Candidates. The PWD persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.
  3. Candidates Should not have attained more than 25 years.

JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: Candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after 01 October, 1992 for general candidates and 01, October 1987 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
  • Candidates appearing/passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 with PCM are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2014 are not eligible to apply.
  • Number of Subjects in 12th: Aspirants should have minimum five subjects in 12th/qualifying examination.
  • Number of Attempts: Candidate can attempt JEE Main exam three times only.
  • Diploma (3 years) holders are also eligible to apply.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) – Exam Details

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most coveted of all the law entrances in India after Class XII year to secure a seat in one of the 19 National Law Universities including NLSIU Bangalore-the Harvard of the East for 5 years Integrated Course. CLAT  was introduced in 2008. 45,050 students wrote the entrance in 2017.  National Law University-Delhi and HP National Law University-Shimla, which have their own process to select the students.
CLAT Score is also accepted by other law schools including NMIMS, Mumbai, UPES Dehradun and Nirma University, Ahmedabad,Shastra University, Thanjavur, to name a few.

CLAT 2018 Eligibility:.

  • To be eligible for CLAT, the candidates must have secured:
    (a) Forty five percent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII or equivalent) in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
    (b) Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT-2019 online examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  • The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
  • There is no age limit for CLAT 2019

CLAT 2019 Syllabus:

CLAT 2019 shall be conducted in online mode where the paper will have 200 questions from five different subjects including English (Comprehension), General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Scope and coverage of questions under different subject areas:

English including comprehension: The English section will test the candidates’ proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein, etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs:The General knowledge will be tested on the general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test candidates on their knowledge of national and international current affairs.

Mathematics:This section will test candidate’s knowledge on elementary mathematics, i.e., maths taught up to 10th Class/standard.

Legal Aptitude: This section will test candidate’s interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions may include legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be “true” in the real sense, candidates will have to assume the “truth” of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.

Logical Reasoning: The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It may include a variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA)  is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) all over the country in the last Sunday of April to assess the aptitude of the applicants for admission to First year of five year B.Arch Degree at all recognized institutions all over India. Part A  comprises of MCQ based Online Test and Part B is a paper & pencil test.

Nata assesses the candidate’s aptitude in the following fields:

  • Nata Exam has three sections:
  • The first & second sections deal with questions on Mathematics & General Aptitude in multiple choice format. The Multiple Choice questions have only one correct answer, and each correct response will yield 2 marks. There is no negative marking. The time alloted for first two sections is 90 minutes.
  • The third section is the Drawing Test. The candidate has to attempt two questions in a time period of 90 minutes. The drawing questions are examined by more than one examiner independently and the average mark is taken into consideration . The drawing questions are evaluated on the following parameters: Drawing, Imagination & Observational skills, sense of proportion & perspective, and colour & composition.

National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the admission toCertificate, Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Master Degreecourses in Hospitality and Hotel Administration programs.
Candidates are admitted in 21 Central and 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, one Public Sector Undertaking and 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management affiliated with NCHMCT.
