NTA has announced the important dates of NEET 2021 on August 21. The dates have been provided in the table below to help the students stay updated.

Who is eligible for NTA NEET 2021?

⦁ The eligibility criteria for NEET 2021 are summarized below. Candidates can go through the ⦁ NEET eligibility criteria to ascertain their eligibility for the same.
⦁ Candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institute.
⦁ The minimum aggregate required in the qualifying examination is 50% for those belonging to the general category.
⦁ Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need a minimum aggregate of 40% and those belonging to the OBC category need at least 45% in the qualifying examination.
⦁ There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for NTA NEET 2021, however, the minimum age required to appear for the examination is 17 years.

How to fill the NEET 2021 application form?

Filling the NEET 2021 application form is a five-step process. Steps to fill the application form are given below:
Step 1: Online registration
Candidates need to register online on the official website - ntaneet.nic.in. To complete the registration process, he/she will have to enter a valid email Id and phone number.
Step 2: Completing the NEET 2021 application
Post completion of the registration process, the registration Id and password generated will be sent to the registered email Id and mobile number of the candidate. He/she has to use these login credentials to access the application form of NEET 2021. To complete the form, he/she has to fill in the required personal details, academic details, exam center preference, etc.
Step 3: Uploading scanned images
Candidates have to upload the scanned image of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature. These have to be in JPG/JPEG format only.
Step 4: Application fee
NEET 2021 application form cannot be submitted without paying the prescribed non-refundable application fee. Candidates who belong to the general or OBC category have to pay an application fee of Rs 1400, whereas those belonging to the reserved categories such as ST/SC/PWD have to pay Rs 750.

What is the syllabus of NEET 2021?

Syllabus of NEET 2021 is defined by the National Testing Agency. The NEET syllabus 2021 comprises of three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The syllabus of NEET NTA 2021 largely overlaps the syllabus from class X to class XII for the respective subjects.

When to expect the NEET 2020 result?

The NEET result 2020 will be announced on MAY  by the National Testing Agency. The result of NEET 2021 will be announced online and candidates can check the same by logging into their registered account. Post the result of NEET 2021, candidates will have to register themselves on the Medical Counselling Committee or MCC portal to participate in the NEET counseling.

What is NEET cut off?

The marks or rank of the candidate last admitted through NEET determines the cutoff for a year. The cut-offs are different for the candidates belonging to different categories. NEET cutoff 2020 can help the candidates understand the difficulty level of the examination. The cut off for NEET 2020 will be released by NTA post the declaration of the result. Q. Will NEET 2020 be conducted twice a year?
A. No, NEET 2020 will be conducted once in the month of May. However, NTA has received requests from students to conduct the examination twice in a year. This may be implemented from the academic session 2021-22.
Q. How many times can I appear for NEET?
A. You can take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test as many times as you need to secure a seat in the desired institute. NTA has removed the restriction on the number of attempts permitted.
Q. How much marks do I need for clearing NEET 2020?
A. To qualify NEET 2020, you need to secure at least 50th percentile in the examination. Candidates who belong to the PWD category need a minimum of 45th percentile and those from the OBC/ SC/ ST category need a minimum of 40th percentile.
Q. What are the minimum marks required to clear individual sections of NEET 2020?
A. There is no sectional cut off for NEET 2020. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the total marks secured by the candidate in the examination.
Q. What is the price of a NEET form
A. NEET 2020 application form will cost Rs 1500 to general category candidates and Rs 1400 to General EWS and OBC category candidates. The application form will be available at a concessional fee of Rs 800 for all the other categories.
